ECGRA Invests in 2021 Erie County Special Events
The Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority (ECGRA) Board of Directors voted to award $118,967.75 in 2021 Special Events grants on Thursday, March 18, which will be distributed to 22 Erie County nonprofits and municipalities.
"Now more than ever, events are so important in promoting a sense of community, and giving people something to look forward to," said Perry Wood, Executive Director, ECGRA. "These nonrpofits should be commended not only for their committment and creativity in organizing these public events with COVID restrictions still in place, but also helping to strengthen our economy."
ECGRA has invested $1,547,880.36 in the Special Events Grant Program, which funds up to 5% of each event that takes place within Erie County and helps promote the region economically and culturally. They are driving tourism, attracting talent to the region, and helping sustain Erie traditions that have helped make Erie County a special place to visit and call home.
